A dynamic fusion of colour, motion, and craftsmanship, the Swift Installation in Stellenbosch, South Africa, embodies the Andre Stead Sculpture Institute's commitment to creating art that complements its surroundings while sparking a profound emotional connection.

Commissioned by a private collector, this captivating piece is an animated feature at the entrance of an upscale home on a picturesque golf estate. The artwork, suspended from the ceiling, descends through a double-volume space and simulates a spiralling column of swifts swooping in flight, forming a breathtaking welcome for guests as they step inside.

The meticulously arranged birds, starting with shades of blue at the top and gradually transitioning to white at the bottom, create a sense of movement and flow through the double-story space. This masterful gradient design not only evokes a feeling of dynamism but also enhances the depth and volume of the entrance hall, creating a sense of expansiveness.

Positioned adjacent to the stairs, the Swift Installation offers diverse viewing angles. Whether viewed from the side or above, the piece consistently delivers an immersive visual experience, creating an ever-evolving play of light, shadow, and colour.

The clients' satisfaction with the final installation underscores our dedication to delivering art pieces that enhance their setting and leave a lasting impression. The Swift Installation stands not merely as an art piece but as a testament to the transformative power of carefully crafted and thoughtfully placed artwork.
