Situated in the cultural heart of Oxford, the Wall of Words is an innovative art installation that brings the written word to life. This unique artwork uses text from the Stormhoek wine label, fashioning a tapestry of overlapping words of varying sizes to create a suspended panel that is a testament to playful communication and interaction.

In the Wall of Words, each letter forms a symbiotic relationship with its neighbours, either in front or behind, creating a visually compelling interplay of depth and perspective. This design echoes the concept of a word wall - a vibrant and interactive learning tool often used by teachers and students.

Further enhancing this sense of playfulness and vibrancy, thin, brightly coloured edgings adorn the letters. These coloured edgings not only serve as visual highlights but also bring an additional depth dimension to the installation, enhancing the words' dynamism and impact.

Wall of Words is a celebration of language and interactivity. It's an example of how text, colour, and design can come together to create an artwork that not only pleases the eye but also inspires and engages the mind. As with all projects undertaken by the André Stead Sculpture Institute, this installation is a testament to our commitment to innovative design, engaging interactivity, and meaningful artistry.
